Well I’ve been playing since Jan 2009 and my first year was progressive, i still lack some of the basics because i tend to dive into the meat and potatoes and play music i know is a challenge. i have been self taught through the lick library DVDs i have a tendency to jump into the solo first... As ive started my second year ive realised the gaps missing and have been working more on techs rather then songs ie alternative picking and learning the notes of the neck... i own an Ibanez RG250 which has Steve vai's tree of life fret inlay. i also have a les Paul copy and a Marlon sidewinder, i have a fender amp but im looking to buy a Marshall jcm (god help the neighbours)..
Music tends to heal the stress of modern day blues there’s nothing better then having a jam after a long day... i am currently working on under the bridge, not my usual style i normally like the yngwie, satriani and guns n roses stuff but i have learned to try easier songs.
i see a lot of players on here who never miss a string and always have a clean sound even when distorted this is my objective by the end of year 2 i understand it all takes time and we all have our bad days...
goda keep going till you get it right.
