Last thursday 22.05.2008 i had the opertunity to go to my step sons school to demonstrate the electric guitar. I only had an hour but the kids LOVED it. 
I got them involved with having a go at the guitar and hopefully some of them my take the instrument up. We chatted about my favourite music BLUES and i explained the relationship of blues to modern music. We had loads of fun, so much so that i may be doing it again shortly to the whole school. this was the first time i ever did this and really enjoyed it. The kids were very attentive and loved the music and had fun dancing and clapping. I felt great afterwards because at last i have been able to give something back to the community and hopefully encourage kids to play music instead of video games. 
I let the kids have a go on my BC Rich and my switch vibracel guitar. many pics were taken and all of them wanted me to come back. Next time i'm going in to rock music as well so have a lot of practice in front of me. Luckily i have Lick library to help me.
